BSc and MSc Academic Tutoring

Managing the academic demands of undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programmes can be challenging. Many students experience difficulties with the transition to higher‑level academic writing, particularly when balancing clinical placements, work, and personal commitments. This can feel overwhelming and may impact both confidence and academic performance.

I have over seven years’ experience working in higher education as a Senior Lecturer in Nursing. During this time, I have led pre‑registration nursing and Nursing Associate modules and taught and assessed students across a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programmes.

My teaching philosophy focuses on creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that enables students to develop their academic skills and succeed in their nursing programmes.

University support can sometimes be limited due to large student cohorts and time pressures. One‑to‑one tutoring provides personalised teaching, guidance, and detailed feedback that is often not available elsewhere. I have a particular interest in supporting neurodiverse learners and offer a safe, structured, and encouraging space to build confidence and skills.
